7th Grade: The Fall of Rome - Cite the Best: Home

Students will create citations for quality sources on Ancient Rome.

The Task

  • Students will understand why it is important to cite their sources
  • Using specific criteria, students will select and recommend the best source(s) for understanding the Fall of Rome
  • Students will use Noodletools to create a properly formatted citation for their recommended source
  • Students will annotate their citation(s) with at least two reasons they selected the source
  • Students will successfully share their sources with their teacher's inbox within Noodletools

Why Cite?

It is important to give credit to your sources for many reasons:

  • To show your reader that you've done proper research by sharing the quality resources you used
  • To be a responsible researcher by giving credit to other experts and their ideas.
  • To avoid plagiarism by properly quoting the words and ideas of others.
  • To give your reader the information they need to track down your sources if they would like to read further.
