What is Hour of Code?

Hour of Code is a one-hour coding challenge intended to provide students an engaging introduction to computer science.  It has become a global learning event, taking place annually during Computer Science Week, seeking to inspire young people to study computer programming.  Challenge yourself to complete an hour of coding tutorials during the month of December!

Get Started

Hour of Code will be offered the entire month of December for all interested students.    Select one of the following recommended programs and get started!  

Please bring your own headphones or earbuds.

Self-paced Course

Student Coding Hours

Before School:   7:35-7:50

Lunches (Mon/Thurs)

After School (except Mon/Thurs):  2:30-3:30 

You must have a note to stay after which states how you will get home.

Some students will have the opportunity to code during class visits to the library.
