1. Log in with your school student account - here's how:

2. Click on "Browse People"
3. Use the dropdown menu for "Topics" and choose "Artists"
OR
Search the name of the artist you have already chosen.

Choose the level most appropriate for you. I'd recommend Young Adult or Reference for many high school students.
Then, click on "Biographies" to begin your search.
You may type your artist's name in the "Search" box, or you may narrow your interests using the tools on the left.
Articles found can be altered and extended in many ways.

Log in using Active Directory. This will ask you for your regular school login credentials (what you use to log in to your computer).

Choose the level most appropriate for you.
If you have already chosen your artist, type his/her name to search for biographical information.
The articles are usually short but don't ignore the tabs for "Media" and "Related Information" as they may lead you to more.

Google Arts & Culture
This fabulous site has much to explore beyond biographies.
However, for biographies, click on "Explore" at the top right of the page. You can choose from the range of categories offered.

National Gallery of Art
This government-funded website has a wealth of information, including many biographies.

Cite Your Sources

Build Your Citations
This citation creator has no ads and helpful guidance through the 'whys' of formatting. You can import your Works Cited list to Google Docs or Word, but once you close the program, it's gone.
The option to use APA instead can be found at the bottom.

Destiny Library Catalog
Use Destiny to search for books on your artist of the genre of art.
It's generally best to search for a genre of art rather than a specific artist.
You will likely find MORE information online than in print.
